Learning is not a spectator sport – Open edX conference 2015
How do we create interactive learning environments in an online course, that encourages learning by doing? This talk describes how we built a virtual labs service that provides student sandboxes. Each student gets their own personal environment, running inside a Linux container. Any software can be run inside the container, including web-based code editors, so the students don't need to download any software - the complete environment is running in the cloud. This is a talk presented at the Open edX conference 2015.
